Formed in 2004, the Cecilia String Quartet is the winner of the prestigious Banff International Sring Quartet Competition in 2010. It has also been praised by master chamber musicians for its astonishing musical chemistry and impassioned performances. On the strength of the success of its first tour under the aegis of Jeunesses Musicales of Canada in 2006-2007, and five years down the road, the Cecilia String Quartet makes its return, to our great delight! Made up of Min-Jeong Koh and Sarah Nematallah on violin, Caitlin Boyle on viola, and Rachel Desoer on cello, this magnificent quartet of Canadian women promises a musical experience brimming with finesse, sensibility, and brio!
