Justin Welsh was recently a member of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Studio where he was featured in their production of Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini in the role of Fiorello and covered roles such as Guglielmo in Mozart’s Così Fan Tutte, and Rodrigue in Verdi’s Don Carlos. Outside of the ensemble, he was Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart in Sulmona, Italy, and Reverent Blitch Susannah
by Carlisle Floyd. Recently, he has performed in roles such as Dancaire in Bizet’s Carmen and Riccardo in I Puritani, by Bellini. He graduated from the Master’s of Music program at the University of British Columbia, Justin Welsh is the recipient of numerous awards.
