Born in Saint-Ignace-de-Stanbridge, in Quebec, Mireille Santerre began studying piano at the age of 6. She later took part in various competitions, including the Canadian Music Competition, where she was ranked first in her category in the Provincial Finals in 2004 and 2005, and came in third in the National Final in 2008. In 2003, she began her post-secondary studies with Myriam Gendron andfurthered her training during the summer at the Orford Arts Centre. Having successfully obtained her Bachelor’s in performance at the Université de Montréal, she is currently working towards her Master’s degree with Ms. Maneli Pirzadeh.
