Avirtuoso whose enthusiasm is genuinely contagious, Acadian pianist Julien LeBlanc is renowned for his great musical sensibilities and his talent as a communicator. In great de mand as a collaborative pianist, he has appeared with various Canadian musicians across Canada. His recent collaborations have led to appearances on a tour of British-Columbia, at the Indian River Festival (PEI), the Elora Festival (Ontario), Music and Beyond (Ottawa), and FestiVoix (Trois-Rivières).

A fan of modern music, he took part in the world premiere of ORTUS, a work by Acadian composer Pierre Michaud, to text by Serge Patrice Thibodeau, heard during the “À l’ère du 400e” concert at the 2004 JMC annual congress in Caraquet.

Julien LeBlanc holds a doctorate degree from the Université de Montréal, as well as diplomas from the Royal Academy of Music in London (UK), and the Glenn Gould School in Toronto. He is frequently heard and seen on Radio-Canada and CBC radio and television. Julien LeBlanc has taught both at the University of Moncton and at the Glenn Gould School in Toronto, and is currently a vocal coach at the Université de Montréal.
